Hand-moulded by a National Award-winning Cheriyal artist from Telangana, this pair of Cheriyal Krishna feet carries forward a craft tradition rooted in the Kakatiya and Vijayanagara dynasties. The Nakashi artist community once used Cheriyal art to narrate epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana, and today it captures the spirit of Telangana’s festivals and everyday life.

Each foot is shaped using the traditional five-step Cheriyal process of moulding, drying, decorating, smoothing and hand-painting. It is made from a mix of tamarind seed paste, rice starch, khadi cloth and white mud, then finished in bright blue with delicate floral and anklet-like detailing.

No factories. No machines. Ever. Because each piece is entirely hand-painted, no two are quite the same. Small natural variations are part of the charm, a quiet signature of the human hand behind it.
