Garuda, the winged figure from Indian sacred tradition, is depicted in flight with his hands folded. Rich green wings, gold ornamentation and a flowing blue stole bring movement and presence to the piece.

Cheriyal is a traditional storytelling craft from Telangana, once used by travelling storytellers to illustrate sacred tales, folklore and scenes of daily life. This wall plate is made from reclaimed mango wood and painted entirely by hand by a National Award-winning Cheriyal master craftsperson.
