Cheriyal art was once used by the Nakashi artist community to narrate epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana — here, that same storytelling spirit is captured in miniature, with nine hand-painted folk figures set within a bold yellow grid against a deep maroon-red base, each figure rendered in rich blues, greens and mustards with fine gold jewellery detailing.

Crafted using the traditional Cherial process — moulded, dried, decorated, smoothed and finally hand-painted in the region's signature vivid palette — this piece carries forward a 13th-century craft lineage in a form made for contemporary walls.
