The elephant who holds your world in his trunk.
The Gaja Hook is handcrafted by skilled tribal artisans in India — every coil of wire, every beaded border, every curl of the trunk shaped entirely by hand using a 4,000-year-old lost-wax casting technique. Cast once, broken from its mould, never replicated.
In Indian tradition, Gaja — the elephant — is the keeper of thresholds. Placed at an entrance, he is believed to hold protective energy, welcoming abundance and guarding what matters most. This piece does exactly that — and holds your keys, scarves, or treasures while doing so.
The trunk curves upward, which in Vedic tradition symbolises good fortune actively flowing into the home. This is not decorative detail. It was put there with intention.
Cast using the lost-wax (cire-perdue) method — a hallmark of Dhokra metalwork practised for over 4,000 years, still alive in the hands of tribal communities across Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
Sustainably Made, Naturally Rooted From the clay of the fields to the wax of the forests, every element is drawn from nature. No factories. No moulds replicated by machine. Just hands, tradition, and earth.
Ethically Sourced, Artisan-Centric We work directly with the artists who make these pieces, ensuring fair compensation and honouring their craft. We never bargain with the hands that create magic.
