The Dhokra Tiger Sitting is handcrafted by skilled tribal artisans in India — each stripe, each powerful muscle held in stillness, each expression of contained ferocity, shaped entirely by hand using a 4,000-year-old lost wax technique.
The tiger does not need to move to command a room. It simply sits — and everything around it knows. In Indian tradition, the tiger is the vahana of Goddess Durga, a symbol of raw power, courage, and the untameable spirit of the wild. This piece carries that same energy — quiet, watchful, and completely in charge.
In Feng Shui, the tiger is one of the four celestial animals and a powerful protector of the home. Placed in the west, it is said to guard against negative energy, bring courage to its surroundings, and activate the energy of strength and fearlessness.
This piece is cast using the age-old lost-wax (cire-perdue) method, a hallmark of Dhokra metalwork that dates back over 4,000 years and is still practiced by tribal artisans in regions of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and West Bengal.
Sustainably Made, Naturally Rooted From the clay of the fields to the wax of the forests, every element is drawn from nature. No factories. No moulds replicated by machine. Just hands, tradition, and earth.
Ethically Sourced, Artisan-Centric We work directly with the artists who make these pieces, ensuring fair compensation and honouring their craft. We never bargain with the hands that create magic.
